The Shipwreck Bar have a warm welcome for everyone, from local residents to visitors and sailors at Shotley Marina. As well as serving tasty home cooked food we are a Free House committed to the quality beers, lagers and wine that we provide. Situated at the end of the Shotley Peninsula in Suffolk, The Shipwreck is uniquely positioned with views of Felixstowe and Harwich ports and the river Orwell and river Stour estuary.

We are a great destination for walking, bird watching, cycling, or just a relaxing day out. We look forward to seeing you soon.

The Shipwreck is situated within Shotley Marina in Harwich Harbour, where the River Stour meets the River Orwell, and yet is only eight miles by road from the county town of Ipswich. The A12 and A14 provide quick access to the country’s network of motorways, London and the Midlands being reached in under 75 minutes.

Whether you’re looking for a bite to eat in the sun or a spot for a delicious coffee, our outdoor seating provides the perfect place for a little dining.

All prices include VAT at the current rate and are quoted in Pound Sterling. Please inform us of any allergies or intolerances before ordering. While we take care, our kitchen handles all major allergens and cross-contamination may occur. We’re happy to adapt dishes for vegetarians and vegans where possible — just ask

Many of our meals are available as Gluten Free, please ask when ordering.
All items are subject to availability.
We cannot guarantee that all our food is Nut Free.
To the best of our knowledge all products are GM free.
Fish may contain bones.

We prefer to use fresh seasonal products, sourced locally and prepared daily.
The majority of our food is homemade and cooked  to order, so on occasions we may run out of certain items, we prefer it this way so we can offer you fresh quality meals.
